Note for a precious woman

Victorious, she rose beautifully,
In a battle, she won triumphantly.
Vivacious woman, truly she
Is - loving deeply, purely, sincerely.
Astonishing even after getting hurt,
Nobody knows she's good at her work.
Rebuilding a heart that was once broken,
A piece of art that she perfected.
Love for her is sacrifice,
Brought about by passion in her heart.
Over the years, she loves unconditionally,
Remember the love you shared to me?
To this woman whose name is hidden in this poem,
Every time you're feeling blue, call me to be with you.

For you my dear friend! ;)

Let it be

Some people judge me
without looking deep in my heart
without even knowing my soul
and what I believe in.

But you made an exception.

People measure me with
what I know,
what I can do,
and what I can give.

But you, you are an exception.

Some value me
for my face
my body
my curves
and my beauty

But you, you value my heart.
You know me better than
I knew myself.
You look deep in my heart
and understand what I'm
going through.
And for that, I know,
I love you
And you love me even more.

Right now, I can only thank
You for this life, and love
You gave to me.
With you, Lord,
I am not afraid.

Let it be.

A Nature's Call

Heart beats fast
cold sweat runs down
the spine
goosebumps on the skin
something is not fine.

Look to the left,
look to the right.
can I just blurt
this one out?

Called. Missed.
Called. Missed.
I can no longer
hold on to this.

The clock ticks so slow
Sorry but I have to go
I badly need to answer
this malodorous call of Nature.

Sshhh...

Infinity

The ink finally collided with
the song
in my head as my mind
drifts away
to the infinite
where you and I
meet.
Somewhere, somehow
I finally found
You and I
may last forever
in a dream
to the infinite
where you and I
meet.
They said nothing
lasts forever in
this world
where love is
difficult to share
but we care
and we love
and we found
You and I
You and I
may last forever
to the infinite.

Indak

Tatakbo at gagalaw
Mag-iisip kung dapat bang bumitaw
Kulang na lang, atakihin
Ang pag-hinga'y nabibitin

Ang dahilang alam mo na
Kahit ano pang sabihin nila

Pipikit na lamang at mag-sasayaw
Habang nanonood siya...

Paalis at pabalik
May baong yakap at suklian ng halik
Mag-papaalam at mag-sisisi

Laya

Nagtatangkang tumakbo
tumakas palayo saiyo
ngunit ang kadenang ito
nakagapos parin sa mga paa ko.

Sinubukan na ang lahat
upang mula saiyo'y makawala
anong mahika ba ang meron ka
sa iyo'y hindi parin makalaya.

Napapansin mo na ba?
Ako'y di na masaya.
Tigilan na ang palabas
Tayong dalawa'y naglolokohan na.

Ayoko nang magpanggap pa,
na ikaw ay mahal pa.
Tiwala ay naglaho na
tibok ng puso'y nagbago na.

Di ko nais ika'y masaktan,
Laya'y nais lang makamtan
Pagkat ako'y di na makahinga,
Nais ko lang mapag-isa.

Nais ko lang mapag-isa...

Love 101

True Love
          is hard to find
when you're looking for it
         outside your heart.

True Love
         hurts
when you're thinking more
         of yourself
than the one you love.

True Love
         is just a dream,
to a person who never
         believes in it.

Uncovering the mystery of the Mystical Cave

The cave, quiet and mysterious,
Its tracks muddy and perilous.
Without the bats that give its nature,
To be dark, creepy and solitary,
One soul may say,
"Ah, the cave is half alive."
-Kris C.

I spent one week to plan and prepare for my trip to this famous cave in Antipolo- the Mystical Cave. I've read a lot of write-ups regarding the cave so I decided to make my own.

It will take you 9 minutes to get to the cave from the town proper. It is advisable that you bring your own bicycle or motorcycle or car because there's no public vehicle available in the place. There's no proper parking space as well so better ask for somebody to look after your vehicle and just give a penny. You can also ask a tricycle driver to take you there and wait for you but it's a bit costly.

A long and breathtaking stairway will take you to the cave. On your way there, you might get fascinated with huge rocks all over the place.

A tourist guide will accompany you to the cave. You have to pay 40 pesos for the entrance fee and the lights inside and 50 pesos for the tourist guide.

I suggest you bring your own flashlight for convenience. The cave is dark, but there are spots where they provided lights. If you're asking if there are bats, there are few. One or two bats only. I didn't encounter a spider or a snake or anything because the cave is protected and maintained by the guides.

The main attraction of the cave is its rock formations which show different biblical images.

I feel sad because Mang Lito, the guide, only gives little information about the cave, but gives a lot of trivia about the different telenovelas held there. It's sad to know and to admit that the cave is already worn out. If you're looking for a real adventure inside a still-a-virgin cave, this is not what you're looking for.

This rock is still alive!

Parts of the cave are scarred by candles

What made me admire the cave is that, it is still breathing. Despite the fact that it is overly used, exposed and all, it is still alive. I saw stalactites and stalagmites that are still living. Most of the rocks inside are dead, but there are new sprouting rocks that are still beautiful, shining against the darkness of the cave.

I wondered, despite the many trauma the cave had received, it endured. In fact, it is surviving. I pictured out if the cave is a person it would have been a beautiful girl who is used, cursed, forsaken, condemned, but manages to stand and remain beautiful.

I realized, humans are just like caves. We may be used, worn-out, 'raped' by this world and the people around us, but we are still living. Inside our core shines our Hope, our last resort, our Savior.

"Mahiwaga ang kuwebang ito," Mang Lito uttered. I believed him. The cave is really mystical, just like life.

No one can limit your life but yourself. I SURVIVED!
Congratulations to my heart. I heard you beating in this cave. Let's go to our next adventure!!! I love my life! Life is beautiful. Live it!

I''d hate it when people find out what this post is about: "A Twist in this Story"

"Nitong umaga lang,
pagkalambing-lambing

KISAPMATA.

"Repeat Chorus"

End

Note: I just tried to make a story out of the song. No other meanings intended. Hehe. The name 'Christian' is also fictional. Enjoy reading!  =)

Diary of a Loser Soul

Dear Diary of a loser soul,
hear me now as I come and crawl
into your womb to seek and to hide,
to hide from commotions
to seek for your comfort.

Dear Diary of a loser soul,
Does loving requires one to get hurt?
If loving is as sweet and as cruel as this,
I'd rather not feel it and refuse love's kiss
In my heart; like a lover's call.

Dear Diary of my loser soul,
Find a way to surmise this fall.
Would this be the one
 I've been waiting for?
Or would this be something
That I have to endure?

A Secret Haven for Us

With our busy schedule, work, projects and all, sometimes we just want to 'break away' from all these huzz and buzz of our busy lives. Sometimes we just want to breathe in the fresh air and good vibes and breathe out the stress and negative vibes we accumulate throughout the day.

Have you found a secret place for you?

Well, I have a few places here that you might want to visit when you set foot to our City- Antipolo City.

#1  'The Road Not Taken'

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost
A breathtaking sight of nature

When you just want to be free and be yourself

We're not talking about the poem by Robert Frost here, okay? I named it as such because this place really looks like a 'road less traveled by' but it offers serenity, calmness, and oneness with nature. Just make sure you're not going in this place alone. It's kinda creepy and eerie when you're alone, right? Besides, it's more fun to share the happiness and adventure with others!

#2 Song at Sunset

"O setting sun! though the time has come, I still warble under you, if none else does, unmitigated adoration." - Walt Whitman

"Sunset is beautiful when one is sad" - The Little Prince

This place will perfectly show you the messages of nature that we often take for granted. Life may be difficult, but the sun always rises and sets saying, "another day offers a new hope".

#3 Travelling Again

"All the traveller's sorrow fades away,
What better place to rest than this?" - Du Fu

This place is actually the road going to Antipolo's Town proper. In the busy streets and highways, we oftentimes neglect to look around us and appreciate the little things life has to offer. Nothing is small when it does great things!

Try to pause for awhile and find joy to what life has to offer! With all the cars, pollution and 'busyness' of a city, I stopped in the middle of this highway and took my time to witness the Glory of our God!

Loving comes with pain

Loving comes with pain- always. When you fall in love, you must be prepared to get hurt.

Love is a one big irony. It makes you happy, then makes you sad. it makes you laugh, then makes you cry. It keeps you sane, then makes you insane.

I am in a middle of something I don't understand. What am I feeling? Why am I feeling this? Why do I have to feel this way AGAIN... Am I not worth the fight?

They say, Love comes to those who wait. Love came my way for the second time without warnings. I embraced it warmly without second thoughts.. despite the odds..

but here I am... lost again. </3

Life Boats on in a City!

One Saturday morning, I found myself wondering and asking, "What is something in the urban that I never knew before?" As an avid fan of Nature, I always dream of being with it but due to some certainties in life, I lack time, and of course, money.

I let myself be dragged to the city by a clumsy feet. To the malls, we went. Oh, great! What a wonderful idea to be with 'Nature' in the mall! After eating, shopping (with the eyes), we got tired and bored. Well, I realized, mall's really not for an adventurous heart.

These clumsy feet dragged me to another place in the city. Closer to Nature, yes it is! We walked and talked, and laughed. I am happy. Cool wind, smell of grass, river...

As the sun prepares to set, we're walking on the riverside when a boat came and dropped few passengers off. They are teenagers, all girls, college students, as I perceived. I asked one girl about the ride. "It's fun!" Okay, then. I thought. I was thinking of getting myself out of the picture and just satisfy myself with good old books when the clumsy feet jumped out and ask the boat man how much would it cost for a ride back to the 'town proper. 2O PESOS per person. Okay, okay, let's get out of here, I was about to say.

I just found myself inside the boat, sitting, watching, waiting for what will happen next.

As the boat started to move against the strong current of the water, the adventures I had with the sea came rushing to my mind. The wind, the water, Nature!

I noticed the transition of a busy city to a transient peace of the surging waters. This is what I am looking for. This is serenity. This is... Life.
